Tailogue is a record of what you tell it about your animals. This page says what we store, who else touches it, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not skimmed; if something is unclear, write to hwang@tailogue.com.
What we store
- Your account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. We keep an identifier Clerk gives us, your email address, and your time zone. We never see a password; there is none.
- Your animals. Names, species, and the photo you choose for each.
- What you record. The text of every note and message, voice notes and their transcripts, photos you attach, and the records made from them: dated entries, measurements, medications, reminders, and their history of corrections. The original wording is kept; a correction adds to the record rather than replacing it.
- Your household. Who is in it, and which device tokens to send notifications to.
- Usage. Which operations ran and what they cost us, so we can see what the service costs. No advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels, no analytics on this website.
Who processes it
Everything is stored on Amazon Web Services in the United States (Oregon). To turn what you say into a record, some of it is sent to other companies:
- Clerk — sign-in with Apple, Google or an emailed code.
- OpenAI — transcribes voice notes into text.
- The language-model provider — receives the text of your notes and the record it needs to draft an entry or answer a question. [hw: confirm the current provider’s data-retention and training terms and name the provider here.]
- Apple and Google — deliver notifications to your phone.
None of them is given your name or email for this. We do not sell or rent anything about you or your animals, and nothing you record is shown to anyone outside your household.
What the assistant does not do
Tailogue does not diagnose. It counts and dates what you recorded and shows you the entries behind any answer. It never names a condition, a cause, or a likelihood about your animal. It is not veterinary advice, and it is not a substitute for a vet.
Your household
Records belong to a household, not a person. Everyone in your household can read the household’s records and add to them, and every entry shows who added it. If you leave a household, the records stay with the household.
Deleting your data
Write to hwang@tailogue.com from the address on your account and we will delete your account and everything in it, or your whole household if you own it, within 30 days, and confirm when it is done. During early access this is done by hand; an in-app control follows.
Children
Tailogue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep an account for one.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change applies. The date at the top is the date of the last change.
